In today’s world Rebar is the material used in foundations to give it strength.  When we were building the sanctuary that we are in now, we had to put rebar in the foundation.  When the rebar was cut to length and shaped into the right form it was wired together.  By tying together the pieces of rebar it increased the strength.        (Eccl. 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.)  When rebar is strategically placed in the foundation of a structure, especially in bridges, it gives it the strength to stand against the storms and disasters of life.

I believe that men are the rebar of the church of Jesus Christ.  The Bridge vision for the men’s group is to shape, equip, and bond the men of The Bridge and the men of churches associated with men of The Bridge.

As life goes, we spend the majority of our time at our place of employment.  It is important that we develop relationships with the men of God in our work place.               (Pro. 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.) As we develop relationships of accountability with the men of God we spend the most time with it will help us stay strong in Christ and resist the temptations of the world.  As we grow individually The Bridge will be strengthen one piece at a time.

Rebar can’t be seen in the foundation of a bridge or a building but if it is not there it will not stand against the disasters of life.

Please consider becoming a part of Rebar.  Not only will you be strengthened but you will be able to help strengthen others.
